Bird of the Sun

She rises again...

This phoenix,
With flaming wings spreading wide.
Gold and crimson,
Within combusting light.

Song alluring and sweet,
Purified in a voice of flames,
Scarlet claws of fiery coals,
Capable of piercing, cauterizing,
Yet this flaming creature,
Is gentle to all living things.

The incense of her soul emitting,
Permeating perfumed smoke,
That becomes her wreath of glory,
As she collapses from within,
Consumed by life within death,
Light shrouded within gray ashes.

With celestial power,
She awakens....

Rising from the gray,
With blinding light of the morning's sun,
To drink Aurora's tears,
And sing the song of renewing fire,
In the infinite spiral of life.
