The Day the Baby Stole My Eyeballs (A
Horror Story)
It started out quietly, a day like any other
As I lay underneath my warm cover
Unbenounced to me as I slept
In the bedroom little feet crept
Over to my side the baby did creep
As I lay enjoying my daily sleep
On the nightstand she placed her tiny hand
Atop of my eyeballs it did land
Out cold and unaware of this
Little knowing that my eyeballs I would soon miss
Alas I finally awoke and to my horrific surprise
There I was left with only one set of eyes
Full of fear as I begun to search
My eyeballs no longer on their usual perch
All day diligently I did look
Underneath every cranny and nook
As I searched, I could see the baby smile
Getting her tiny jollies all the while
I asked her "oh where could my eyeballs be"?
To which she replied "da dab a ba de"
The search lasted all day
Until then "I give up" I so did say
As night fell throughout the place
Me still without my eyeballs upon my face
Sadden that I was, I stood next to my bed prepared for sleep
When what do I chance was touching my feet
As I looked down to my surprise I could barely see
My eyeballs although smudged up, looking back at me
I guess the baby must have felt badly
And left my eyeballs here for me
After a good cleaning back on my face they lay
If I were bold enough, I'd glue them so they would stay
But this lesson the baby did teach
From now on keep my eyeballs out of her clever reach
