Sharon Ruderham

Sharon born in Portsmouth Hampshire in England now lives in Edinburgh Scotland. Moved to Scotland in 1981 for two years and ended up staying. I’m proud to be a part of such an exciting venture as this. I have been involved with fundraising since I was 11 years old and got hooked by how one small gesture can change so much. I’m here because Maggs believed in this project enough to make an idea become a reality.

Take Away (Is It?)

Why do they call it a take away?
When really you go out and get.
Most people still sit in and eat,
From a menu that’s always been set.

So why do they call it a take away?
Even if its drive through.
You open a window to order,
So why not just call it "hand to".

Why is it called a take away?
Unless they are talking of cash.
Then they should really call it,
A pay for your food and dash.

What makes a diner a take away?
Defining this made me snigger.
Cause I finally figured out what it is,
It’s taking away my figure!
